Description

A multimeter is a measuring instrument that can measure multiple electrical properties. A typical multimeter can measure voltage, resistance, and current, in which case it is also known as a volt-ohm-milliammeter (VOM), as the unit is equipped with voltmeter, ammeter, and ohmmeter functionality. Some feature the measurement of additional properties such as temperature and capacitance.

Application

By adding a rectifier unit in the analog multimeter circuit, the AC voltages and currents can also be measured. Here, two switches S1 and S2 are used to select the desired meter. It also has a rotary range-selector switch to choose a particular range of current, voltage and resistance.

Analog multimeters use a micrometer with a moving pointer to display readings. Digital multimeters (DMM, DVOM) have numeric displays and have made analog multimeters virtually obsolete as they are cheaper, more precise, and more physically robust than analog multimeters.

Bring back Vintage old memories using this Analog multi-meter. The display needle provides good indication of any fluctuations of the measured parameter including reverse voltage. Very happy with the result values and the product. Go for it.
